Everything a person leaves after death is considered inheritance

A: Everything a person leaves after death, whether it is money, real estate, etc., is considered inheritance and should be divided among their legal heirs in accordance with the rulings of the Book of Allah. The inheritance is to be divided after paying off any debts of the deceased, and after executing the will of the deceased if one has been left. The Muslim should think well of Allah (Glorified be He), put their trust in Him, and adopt the legal means to support themselves and their families. Nevertheless, a person does not know who will actually benefit them in this worldly life and the Hereafter. In the Ayah (Qur'anic verse) about inheritance, Allah (Exalted be He) says: You know not which of them, whether your parents or your children, are nearest to you in benefit May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
