Did Abu Bakr die from being poisoned?

Q 2: It is said that Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him) died from being poisoned; is this true?

A: Biographers have different views about the cause of the death of Abu Bakr Al-Siddiq (may Allah be pleased with him). They have mentioned many possible reasons for his death, among which was poison. This was mentioned in "Al-Riyadh Al-Nadirah" by Al-Muhib Al-Tabary, "Al-Isabah" by Al-Hafiz Ibn Hajar, and others.
