Changing the name

A: It is permissible for you to change your name to a better one. However, if some of your relatives do not agree that you do so; it is better to keep your current name bearing in mind that such a name is not Makruh (disliked) as far as Shari`ah (Islamic law) is concerned. On the other hand, your saying that it is Allah Who initiates everything meaning that Badi (Part No. 2; Page No. 346) is one of the Names of Allah (Exalted be He) is wrong for it is not so.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
