Bringing female Muslim and non-Muslim servants from other countries without Mahram

A: It is a basic rule according to Shari`ah (Islamic law) that it is impermissible to acquire money through unlawful work. Through Sunnah (whatever is reported from the Prophet) texts, it becomes clear that it is impermissible for a woman to travel without a Mahram. It is also proved from the Sunnah that two religions cannot coexist in the Arabian Peninsula. Therefore, non-Muslims may not settle in the Arabian Peninsula nor should they be brought in to work without a necessity. Accordingly, it is impermissible to practice work that might lead to violating such prohibitions. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
