Are the present copies of the Qur'an the very words of Allah?
Q: Does the Qur’an we have today contain the very same words that were revealed by Allah or are there texts other than those in the Mus-hafs (copies of the Qur'an) we have nowadays?
A: The written copy of the Qur’an that we have today is the Speech of Allah (Glorified and Exalted be He). (Part No. 4; Page No. 12) Allah indeed spoke it, Jibril (Gabriel, peace be upon him) heard it from Him and brought it down upon Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), who recited it to the people and asked that it be recorded. Thus, the Sahabah (Companions of the Prophet, may Allah be pleased with them) wrote it down, and the Salaf (righteous predecessors) transmitted it until it reached us.May Allah grant us success.
