Q: What is the ruling on
allowing children and the insane to enter Masjids (mosques)?
A:
It is the duty of the guardian of the insane to prevent them from entering the Masjid to prevent any harm that could happen to the Masjid or to the people praying there. Also, it is their duty to give the insane good therapy. As for children, they should not be prevented from going to Masjids whether with their parents or by themselves in case they are discerning children or they are seven years old or more. In this way they will be able to offer Salah with other Muslims.May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
