A woman quarrels with her husband

Q: My four-years-younger brother and I fight all the time, because he is disrespectful to our parents. He shouts at them and swears at them, he was even allured by his evil soul to push our father until he fell to the ground. Therefore, I do not speak to him; I despise him and I wish him dead.My question is: Do we come under the ruling of those whose deeds are not displayed before Allah on Mondays and Thursdays?

A: It is obligatory on you to advise your younger brother and warn him against being undutiful to his parents, doing so in gentle speech, using wise words and choosing appropriate times. It would be good to give him some booklets or tapes that discuss the merit of dutifulness to parents and the punishment of being undutiful to them, in the hope that Allah will guide him and mend the ways of all.May Allah grant us success.
