A woman miscarrying the fetus due to taking medication

Q: What is the ruling on a woman who miscarries a baby due to taking medication?

A: If the aborted fetus had completed four months, his Diyah (blood money) is freeing a newly-born male or female slave. The Kaffarah (expiation) is freeing a believing slave, and if she cannot find this, she should fast for two successive months, ask for Allah's forgiveness and repent to Him for this sin.
