A 4: Teaching Muslims the affairs of their religion is one of the methods of calling to Allah (Exalted be He) and is a duty upon Muslim scholars. Of these affairs is the clarification of the Islamic rulings on funerals. However, teaching such rulings should not specifically be connected with a particular time, that is to be offered upon someone's death, lest ignorant people may think that this is one of Al-Sunan Al-Rawatib (supererogatory acts that were stressed and regularly performed by the Prophet Muhammad) in the Shari`ah (Islamic Law). When there is a need for education, it should be given at the proper time without specification.May Allah grant us success. May Allah grant us success. May peace and blessings be upon our Prophet Muhammad, his family, and Companions.
