A partnership with one who does not pay Zakah

Q 4: Someone delays paying Zakah (obligatory charity) on a sum that is kept with him for a full year, and he lost this money. What should he do?

A: This person is obligated to pay the Zakah which counts as a debt. Therefore, he should pay it when he can afford it.
