A girl dying in bed when her sister and mother tried to sleep beside her

A: If the case is as mentioned, that this girl was moved under the heavy cover to the end of the bed and died, and that the mother was not the one who covered her, there is neither a sin nor a Kaffarah (expiation) upon her for the death of the little girl. It was not proven that she was the one responsible for her death. The general rule is that a person is innocent until proven otherwise. (Part No. 21; Page No. 377) May Allah grant us success.
