A brother or friend entering the house during the husband's absence

Q 4: Is it permissible for my brother or friend to enter my house in my absence, when there is none but my wife or my wife and mother, sister or any of my daughters? Is it permissible if this person has come from a far city and is accompanied by his wife, mother, sister or daughter? May I permit my wife to let him enter in this case or not?

A: It is not permissible for marriageable relatives like your brother to visit your wife in your house in your absence and your wife should not permit such person to enter. However, it is permissible for your wife's Mahrams to visit her in your house in your absence. May Allah grant us success.
